My wife doesn’t like riding with me because there’s no OMG handle

The only passenger-side handhold in the 1LE is for pulling the door closed, which doesn’t work very well. Anybody got a solution for a handhold on the passenger side? It might be helpful for ridealongs at an HPDE too.

Maybe I should just install one of these grab handles from Wildrock 4x4 for her.

My wife has also mentioned the lack of a handle.

Mine too.

She doesn't complain about the firm ride though.

Same. Bigger issue is passengers on track on Pirelli DH slicks...

Told wife to just push herself back in the seat. She was OK with that. She does complain about the tire noise but I can't hear her.

There is a built in "oh shit" handle of sorts. Have your wife/gf run the seatbelt all the way out and then let it ratchet in slowly so that it locks. She can then grab onto the upper part of the seatbelt with both hands to act as the handle. Can always add a seatbelt pad to improve the grip too.

I had to do this riding shotgun on an autocross course in a 1LE and if it worked for a big bastard like me, should work fine for the missus.

Forget handles. You wont see any in a race prepped car

You wont see a pro or an instructor grabbing one either.

Instead: adjust the seat way forward so a passenger can brace well with their legs against a footwell. Just like a driver would do with their left foot. As a matter of fact thats what i do for any passenger before we set out. I adjust their seat forward so their legs are slightly bent. Then i tell them to brace with their legs and keep their hands close to their body and not touch or grab anything . Of course i do the same adjustment whenever riding in R seat myself. This allows one to push themselves into a seat and remain comfortable vs rolling in one and losing balance.

lol
I've been married long enough that my wife knows my driving and not to even bother getting in the car.

Only time I have heard this was autox.. where we can max out lateral G.

Push yourself into seat, force cam lock to activate and two hands on cross belt.
