eLSD slippage when entering steep approaches

I’ve noticed on 2 separate occasions now when exiting a flat street into a steep driveway or exit that my rear diff will slip or my wheels aren’t turning at all. I always approach on an angle so not to rub splitter but weird things happening in the back. Is this normal?

With a stiff chassis like the Camaro yes. The inside rear wheel becomes unweighted and the eLSD compensates for that wheel slipping.

Yes that tends to happen. Like when I complain to the technicians at work and they respond back to me, it is a race car.

Perfectly normal. I've had that happen 3 or 4 times now. I've always backed up a bit and then pull up at a little faster speed so the tire that's off the ground can carry across until it touches again. This last time though, I wanted to see if the diff would eventually start locking, so I kept a very slight steady throttle applied, and the car stopped for a second with one tire slightly spinning and then it started going on up. So either a rock or something got pulled under the tire or the diff locked up.

I'm so glad you posted this. This happened to me last summer and I had no idea how the replicate the problem when taking it to the dealership. The car absolutely would not move forward. I tried going up the same steep grade from both directions and it just would not go. Eventually i was able to go straight up the incline but backing my car up to where it was pointing straight ahead towards the incline.
