377 or 416 CI
I am in the position to upgrade the engine in my ZL1. I was originally aiming to do a 416, but recently have been told by multiple people that a 377 would be better. So I'm trying to figure out the difference between the two. Pros and cons. Mods are full bolt ons, ported heads, cam, whipple and fuel/meth and is mostly a drag car.

If your gonna rebuild the motor, 416 would be my choice.

Unless you're willing to throw on a bigger blower I'd stick with the 377

I was in the same position. I went 377 for high rev power.

Big bore short stroke and high rpm is what I would do...so 377 gets my vote.

All depends what setup you are after, I'd vote 377ci underboost vs the 416ci.

Make sure you have enough meat in The piston. Compression height...

Personally am a fan of the stock stroke on these motors. I would do a 377 as well.

for me, I have a centri and small blower cam, I'd go 416, if I had a twin turbo and a high RPM cam, I'd do with the 377, if I had a PD setup dunno, probably a 377, NA it WOULD be a 416 no doubt in my mind on the last one.
