What are some good tires I can get at Costco for a ss? Must be good in wet roads
Just wondering if there is a good tire out there, at a good price, that I can look into while at Costco tomorrow.
Thanks. |

Michelin Pilot Sport 4s would be the way to go and COSTCO carries the brand.

Not sure if the wholesale clubs carry that exact tire. They get a "specially" formulated version of what the regular retailers sell normally. I will vouch for the 4S in the rain. I could not believe how bad the Goodyears were with 1000 mile on them in the rain. I've never owned a car that was that bad in the rain. Now it's like there isn't rain on the road.

+1 for Costco and MPS4S, I had them do my ZL1 1LE after my first encounter with standing water on the GY (I'm still removing alcantara from my ass-crack).
as a bonus they fill up with nitrogen (also all their airtools are nitrogen powered and have been for the past 15 years) I told them I would be airing down a bit for the track and asked if topping back up w/ regular air would be ok, he said sure it's fine, but If I want buy an air-pig and drop by they will fill it up for free! I would ask politely to be extra careful about the lift points as these cars can be tricky to lift. |

That's a good price. Just moved from Pilot Super Sport to the 4S on my V. I paid $1200 from Tire Rack shipped to Cadillac dealer which charged $150 to install. Didn't even think to check Costco.

I can also confirm that Costco will order and install Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. I had mine done in stock sizes in May of 2017. It was about $1280 after tax. This included a Michelin $70 off coupon. I've attached my receipt.
Be weary of the installers at Costco. They are TERRIBLE. The first time they installed my tires, they gave me the wrong sidewall for the fronts. I never noticed, but they called me a few days later to arrange replacing them with the correct ones. Many months later I realized that one of those front tires had been installed backwards. I took it in this spring to have them remount it. After working on this one tire they filled it with nitrogen and put a green cap on the silver painted wheels. I went with the PS4S specifically for its wet weather performance. IMO it is as good as a street tire can get for wet performance. I replaced the stock Goodyears at about 11K miles mostly because the wet performance was dreadful. I felt as though I was losing control in some heavy rains we received in Michigan. With the Michelin PS4S I have zero concerns and nothing but confidence for wet weather.

You want good rain tires for a reasonable price? Go with the BF Goodrich g-force comp 2 all season tires. Rated very highly and probably the cheapest high performance tire you can buy.
The old tires in this pic are Firestones and for the money, they were excellent and did quite well in the rain. Stuck 95% as well as the original goodyears. You'll have to spend a lot more money to beat their performance.

Yes. The new ones are 305's coupled with new wheels. 285's on the front.
