Whipple and dsx aux......

Hello everyone. I posted a while back about running a whipple along with the dsx aux fuel system and a few of you said your were running them them. Now I'm trying to figure out what pulley you went with on the whipple? My current set up is a cam, headers, ati dampener with a 9.17 pjlley(15% od) so I'm trying to see how small of a pulley I can go with.

you will still run out of injector...

After the low side(DSX kit) and the high side(cam with fuel lobe) the injectors are next to run out.

If you havent bought the DSX kit or the whipple yet I would strongly suggest you check out the Weapon-X port injection setup. Because once you buy the DSX kit AND the +30% injectors you will be right at the same place price point wise. And the Weapon-X kit, I believe, would give you a TON of more head room over +30 injectors and the DSX low side kit.

Just my opinion only.

I'm running a 3" upper along with the 9.17" lower. I have meth injection with the DSX low side. Just got mine started and just started tuning. No clue how much boost it will make yet. Weapon X said a 3" and 9.17 lower would just about max out the blower rpm. That was my reasoning for using that pulley.

I'd run a 100-150 shot plate system on a sep fuel cell. That's my next mod, then I'm done. Should put me at 1000 hp.

So far just over 17psi. My heads are ported so that lowers mine some.

We basically almost have the same mods. I'm upper/lower/meth/e85/headers/exhaust/NX lid/ported blower/snout/head work.

I'm at 803/768 right now. Just did my pulls two days ago in 95 degree heat so. I'm happy. Was hoping for over 850. I'll hit that once Sept/Oct runs around. My eth content was 47% too so. I'm gonna drain the tank, and refill with E85 then retune.

Thing is, manifold temps are thru the roof, pulling timing, we pulled it up to 190 degrees on the manifold temp side. IAT's are good, stay around 110 on hard pulls. Coolant temps since I have the Weapon X HX system stay around 180ish. Not sure why the manifold temps are thru the roof, but anyhow.

Whipple will just create more heat, so I'm staying with what I got and gonna run a NOS plate system on sep fuel cell and call it a day.

Whipple will create less heat at same boost level due to larger displacement.

But we won't have it the same boost level so. For my set up with controlling my heat issue, Whipple won't solve my problems. Until I can figure out why manifold temps are so high, then it's focus on more cooling, cooling, and cooling. I think the Ice tank and blocks will help out big time.

My IATs have been fairly low. I have the Weapon X heat exchanger with trunk reservoir. It might be different though once it gets really hot.
