Bolt-in roll cage

Hey guys,

I just wanted to see if anyone on here is interested or actively looking for a bolt-in roll cage or harness bar to meet track day needs. My company- StudioRSR has a few on order and wanted to get an idea of how many others out there were in need. Feel free to shoot me message with any questions.

-Ben

Interested, and been looking at RPM's bolt-in rollbar. BUT been waiting for the R & D completion on the convertible version of their rollbar. Do you have pics and material specs on this cage, and maybe approximate price? Is there video or instructions available on the install? And most importantly (for me) do you know if there is, or will be, a version for the convertible???

Did you do the install? How were the instructions? Any missing bolts & parts? Is it a chromoly? What did it cost you? And, of course any Pics (rough and finished) to share would be greatly appreciated.

Be forewarned that the Studio RSR half cage has provision for only 2 bolts per mounting point and NO backing plates. Other than that it is a well built piece. I had mine welded in after I became aware of these issues only after it arrived.

I run the RPM bolt in 6pt with swing out door bars. That's good down to 9.99 and is a very nice piece. I bout mine in the chromoly version as its very light and is actually stronger then mild steel. I did my install with the help of a friend. I know that Perdieu just finished one in his SS. Its a pain to install but looks great and passed NHRA tech at the Jegs Race I went to last month in St louis.

I have an RPM bar too. The welds are a work of art.

i understand for piece of mind and for the convertibles, but does anyone make a bolt in cage that makes it legal to go faster than 9.99, considering the factory chassis is legal to that time without it.

NHRA DRAGS: STREET LEGAL STYLE PRESENTED BY AAA (Page xiv) (5th paragraph)
Additionally Requirements and specifications for Street Legal are the same as those for the Summit Racing Series with the following exception: Unaltered 2008 OEM model year and newer production cars running slower than 9.99 and 135 mph do not have to meet the requirements and specifications for the Summit Racing Series except for the following: Convertibles and T-tops must meet Summit Racing Series Roll Bar and Roll Cage requirements, All drivers must meet the Summit Racing Series Helmet and Protective Clothing requirements.”
