Eaton TVS 2650 ETA 8-12 months

According to Magnuson, the TVS2650 for the ZL1 LT4 is 8-12 months away. This is to be expected as the ZR1 is just now being released.

Looks like the Eaton vs Whipple vs Procharger comparisons will have to wait until next year.

I emailed Summit Racing a few weeks back about the Edelbrock 2650 for the '17-'18 Camaro ZL1 :

Hello Travis,
Thank you for the inquiry on the Edelbrock TVS-2650 supercharger.

Edelbrock is near completion and hopes to have the superchargers available by mid summer.

Thank you for your business,

Winston

Redline posted one they received on IG for testing. They will be testing on a 2018 ZL1.

Here are some kool runs of the TVS2650

I've seriously considered installing an LT1 intake and purchasing the Hellion twin turbo headers.
Instead of the PTE turbos, I prefer the Xona Rotor line for their performance and reliability.

But it's way too easy to get greedy with turbos.
And this time around, I'd be perfectly content with 800 rwhp on 93 octane.

Until I make a decision, the stock ZL1 is quite capable!

That's exciting! Although I prefer centris, I would not go the PC route. Of the PDs I would lean towards Whipple. But I am looking forward to seeing what the Magnuson will do. If it comes in cheaper than Whipple, and if it can make similar power (considering the limits of the stock cam and heads) then it will be an attractive buy for those who aren't looking to do cams and ported heads etc. But with extensive mods I think the Whipple will make more power.

I would be more excited about the TVS since it will probably be much more reliable and make more torque on less boost then the twin screw Whipple. I had a 2.3 Whipple on my 03 Cobra and it was horribly noisy even after I got it rebuilt by Steggy. But as you said, it will probably do better with higher boost than the TVS.

I agree. Had a 2.9 Whipple on an LS3 Camaro a few years back, didn't like it at all. I bet the 2650 will run right with the Whipple on high HP builds too. Maybe a delta of 30-50 at max range.

ADM has the 2650 vette blower for research a buddy of mine almost bought it... looks to not clear the the frame area by the wiper blades or wind shield support.. He already had the anderson hood so clearance wasn't a issue. Looks to bolt up no problem..

Edelbrock tweeted this image on May 25th last year:

Here's a picture from their LT416 crate motor. It includes the 2650 and is available now, so I don't know what the hold up is on releasing the supercharger kit.

LT1 intake will not just bolt on a LT4 without a special adapter.
