MBRP race system with kooks headers and no cats

The MBRP race system fit up perfectly to my kooks headers and off road connection pipes.

Sounds really good. Drone is 85% gone so I’m happy. Can still detect very little around 1500 rpm but it’s not bad at all. It really does a good job

Anyway thought I’d re confirm what a couple others told me. If you have kooks headers with connection pipes the mbrp race will bolt right up to it. So one can have a nice full exhaust system and no drone.

That's good to know, I'm considering some Kooks "offroad" headers plus extension pipes and I run an MBRP axle back.

You still have the stock x pipe if you just have the axleback. You’ll need to cut the stock exhaust if you get headers

The MBRP systems have always been an under rated system. They sound great and really took care of the drone issues with their J-pipes. We highly recommend them for anyone considering an exhaust.

Sounds great!

I’ll be doing heads cam at some point.

Have you got any new accurate numbers yet?

Nope not yet, my 160 degree thermostat took a crap on me, so switched back to stock on that, hardly drive the car and with work i get quite busy with schedule changing and traveling.. BUT BUT BUT if i can find either a dyno day in town or a shop that has availability to dyno the car then i'm all up for it because my current tuners dyno just isnt' cutting it, at least reads 30+ difference from any other dyno. :( i'm assuming i'm around 550 to the wheel, maybe more??

Yep around 550 or more I would guess sounds right

I’ve read literature advising against 160 tstats in some newer motors. Something about excessive wear due to incomplete expansion in the motor. Guessing ring seal. From being too cold.
