Brake issue
I have a rotational clacking noise from my passenger front when I apply the brakes. It's a similar sound to the noise when turning that some believe is associated with not having the lugnuts torqued properly but louder. I can hear it noticeably with the window down in any situation (vs. the turning noise mostly within a parking garage and other places with less outside noise). I did check the lugnuts and had some that needed tightening to 140 lbs on all four corners. (mostly the security nut that came with the car). The noise still persists. I haven't noticed any stopping issue, including having a short stop the other day due to traffic. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow and will update. Just posting this in case anyone else has had a similar issue. I couldn't see any after several searches. 15,000 miles and a recent dealer visit with pads confirmed within spec.

Do all the brake disc nuts look tight? Besides that, I'd check that the caliper bolts and pad bridge bolt are properly tight.

1. Make sure wheel weights are not hitting the caliper.
2. Remove wheel, clean the hub contact surface and put a thin layer of white lithium grease on the hub surface where it contacts the wheel. |
