A10 Not Shifting with Gear Selector

So, just took my beast out of the garage after a long winter's nap and now experiencing the following:

If I select to manually shift (i.e. pull the shifter to the left) I can upshift/downshift with the paddles.

However, it will not shift at all when using the gear selector to upshift/downshift and will actually revert to fully automatic mode when I try to do so.

In full automatic mode she shifts perfectly, drops into performance mode when asked and drives normally.

I'm thinking the shift actuator (if that's what it's called?).

Anybody else want to venture a guess or seen this before?

Rats ate your wires? If your dash doesn’t show the change when you move the stick to manual, the the gear selector switch is bad or there’s a loose wire.

The +/- symbol on the shifter does change (illuminates red) when I pull the shifter over and it does show me in manual on the dash and HUD. The only thing it doesn't do is allow me to shift gears "manually" with the shifter.

Could be critter got up in there, who knows.

Looks like I'm in for a trip to the dealer....

Never noticed a +/- light. Definitely a trip to the dealer coming.

If you've not already tried it, I'd try disconnecting the battery for at least 10 seconds, and try it again. A hard restart does wonders for software glitches, if that happens to be what it is. If that doesn't work, then I'd definitely go to the dealer. If it does work, I'd also take it to the dealer if it ever does it again.

I’d also suspect rodent damage. It’s so common around here, it’s not even funny. Open the hood and take a look around. It’s usually very easy to spot when they’ve been in there. The TCU is sort of behind the passenger side headlight. Could of course be a bad part in the shifter.
