Best 0-60 Mods

Hi folks,

I got a stock auto 17 SS done almost 1000 miles and the best timing I got is 4.5s I dont even know if this good or bad. From what was advertised abt the SS is that you can get down to 3.9s.

4.5s Setup:
Performance Auto Shifting ( sport mode)
Sport mode ON
Traction ON
Did full throttle lunch control

let me know what do you think? And what are the best mods to get better timings?

drag radials
track mode
double press the traction button to enter competitive mode
launch control

elevation and ambient temperature might affect your time too, but definitely start with some better tires

What you said plus road conditions are a factor.
My best with my A8 SS was a 4.2. I could regularly do a 4.4-4.5 factory stock everything. I even got a 4.4 on my very first attempt. 3.9 definitely possible.
On a side note for comparison my best so far with my stock A8 Scatpack is a 4.4, testing in the exact same spot in similar temps/conditions. Tricky with those factory 245 all-seasons.

I know I've gotten 3.8 before, that's with Michelin PS4's but my best time on the timer still says 3.9. lately for some reason I've only been getting 4.1. Maybe with the warmer weather the tires will start hooking better.

All nannies off, hot tires, 1200rpm, let off brake and press pedal to the floor linearly, don't mash it.

FBO, light car, PS4 at 26 PSI, 1/4 tank of gas, light driver, bout 1/2 lower in the back, M6 can break into the high 3s. Consistent 4.0s BTW.

I've done 3.9 with warmed up, slightly aired down Eagle F1 Supercar 3's using launch control in my M6 1LE. On the street it's important to let the clutch slip slightly as you let it out and not just dump it.
About to switch to MPS4's for the treadlife so it'll be interesting to see if I can match that time.

I agree there needs to be some clutch slip to 10 MPH or so....

I got 4.9 in my stock sierra 6.2 with a tune. Which has the exact same motor as you, minus about 20hp. If you brought along an entire family; mom, dad, and 3 kids; a family of grizzly bears that is, we’d be at about the same weight.

You only beat me by 4 tenths of a second. Yeah you have some serious driving work to do.

3.9 seconds might be the auto, because I’ve driven the ss auto, and it would leave my truck for dead. It was easy as pie too, just stomp on the gas.

You’ve got an automatic. 3.9 is as easy as walking in the auto.
