All Season or Summer Tires!?!

Ok, so I finally hit the threads on my stock tires when I realized hmm, maybe I should change them. So I got to looking and I haven't done it yet because I suck with tires. Thanks to the help of tire rack I have a decent amount of help as to what will fit and what won't. Now all i have to worry about is should I get something like a Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or should I get a Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06. Now I understand that comparing these are really hard as they're pretty much for different things but I live in NJ and I do get snow and I'm not asking you to make your decision based on snow because I made it 1 whole year on summer tires and I have another vehicle if it's really snowing. I am also not saying that these are the only tires I'm considering, if you have tires that are similar and do a better job then please inform me because of I'm all ears. Thank you for your response and don't place it solely on snow because I drive aggressively and I don't want the car to slip out from under me in a corner either. Thanks again and I'm eager to hear your responses!

I replaced the stock summer tires after 14K miles ( the rear were bald lol) with Bridgestone Potenza's. They are so much better than summer RF summer tires.
Traction on dry pavement is fine. Handling in rain is superior. They are so much quieter and smoother than the Stock tires.

If you have that other car for bad weather, get the best summer tires you can afford!

Summer tires, stock tires are pretty good. There is a reason the car came with summer tires. Just get winter tire set for Dec-March.

I know this is all moot now but I'm gonna shove my opinion in anyway since I'm bored.

Conti DWS if there's a chance you will see snow and it's yer only car. There is some solid data for them in snowy conditions vs other leading A/S tires.

Michelin AS3+ if all you ever see is cold temps and rain. From what I have seen these are the fastest A/S tires out there but they will stop working in the snow, or at least you will become a church-goer to get home...

These are both personal opinions somewhat reinforced by Tire Rack testing.

I'm gonna put the frog gobblers on my stock wheels, but I drive a truck in teh snow. By the way if you like being a hooligan in a light truck when blizzards hit, give a hard look at Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Bonus: they look the balls...

Thank you for the opinion! I do see snow, unfortunately, but now that it's getting to be summer by the time winter comes around I hope they're still very effective at keeping me on the road. I have another car but I would much rather drive the Camaro daily as I can't get enough.

I live in NJ, too. I'm going with the Conti's once the fall comes around or the stock tires go bald...whichever comes first.
