2017 2SS -- Do your wheels get dirty VERY fast?

I have Brembo's on my 99 Z28 and they don't dust anywhere nearly as fast as the Brembo's on my 2SS. They dust ALOT. I can have the whole car clean and not even 2 days later it looks like I've driven the car for 2 weeks without washing it. I'm not exagurating when I say 2 days either, its literally not even getting 3 days and the wheels are just filfthy... Does anyone else experience this? I don't mind washing it don't get me wrong.. I just never had brakes that got dirty this fast.

Can you or anyone recommend any kind of brake pads I should upgrade to to assist with that while retaining good braking power, or even improving it?

Likewise, will ceramic coating the wheels help?

I dumped the Brembo pads the first week I got my 2018 SS Vert with heavy duty brakes. Installed ceramic pads from O’Reilly Auto Parts. The pads work great and have totally eliminated brake dust.

I have noticed this too since owning this vehicle. A red tinted dust. I have applied paint sealant; Rejex'ed the wheels (including the entire car - have been using for years now). Although does not eleminate the dust, it seems to help sluff it off and much easier to wash as all you have to do is hose it off, even though I wash the wheels every time I wash the car with seperate soap (Griots Garage) and bucket mitt. Re apply the paint sealant along with a quick clay bar every 5-6 months. I plan to keep this regiment moving forward.

Lots of posts about this, it’s the pads. Search Powerstop and you’ll get lots of answers.

I just replaced mine yesterday. I went with the Power stop Z26 pads. The initial bite is not quite as good, but to me that's fine. I thought that initial was a little too grippy...especially at slow speeds. I like the Z26's better.

A number of us have gone to the Powerstop Z26 pads. Very little dust compared to stock. Powerstop wisely advertises "Low Dust Brake Technology".

I wax my wheels with chemical guys wheel wax. Less dust. I'll have to try those pads sometime.
