Will the 2019 refresh drop prices of the 2016-2018?

Topic. I’m on the very brim of buying one, and want to know if I should expect a possible deal or prices to drop. Never been in this situation before so I’m looking at what’s happened in the past

Yes. For anyone in the market for a new 18, you have a new haggle weapon in your arsenal.

Combining the fact of the new refresh, and that you would be buying an “outdated” car, with a 2018 that has been sitting on the lot for a while, you should be amble to score an incredible deal. I know I would.

To be clear, I know that the 16-18 is not really outdated, but in the eyes of a dealership and the general public, our cars are the old model now.

Anytime a new model year comes out, the previous ones drop in value

Yep, especially when the new model is a refresh.

Everyone seems to hate the new refresh. I was thinking it would increase the value of the 16-18 temporarily.

My guess is it will increase the sales of the 2018 models. Looking at the 2019 I wouldn't be surprised if they do a refresh for 2020. That is assuming that the sales are strong enough to justify even carrying the Camaro into 2020.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this tanked the Camaro for good. My 2017 isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They can keep that POS.

The values on the '16-'18 will skyrocket when this hideous refresh comes out.

Value will depend if the new refresh design is desired by the public. I'm not a fan and would buy a 2018 instead of the refresh

That is so dramatic... the Camaro isn't going anywhere lol. People thought the same thing about the 2014 refresh.

I was going to do a thread just like this

I actually recently been looking at a 2017 1SS at a dealer listing at 28000. Its been that price for about 3 weeks now. Just recently, same car, it went up to 30000. I dont know if its because of the refresh but I am pretty sure old models should be going down.

I really dont like the refresh it looks terrible in almost every aspect (except the rims)
