DSCMagnetic Ride System Controller!

A friend of mine who has a Z06 vette started telling about these controllers for the Magnetic ride on his car. He took me for a test drive and I could not believe how much better the ride was in all modes and how controlled the car felt. So I broke down and got a Controller for my 2017 SS 1LE when I got my tax return. Easy install in the trunk of the car. Install after 1 year of driving car completely stock.

The Difference!
Wow! the way my car rides and performs now after putting this device in is remarkable. Dailey ride in Sport mode and Touring on the highway has improved enough to make it feel like a different car. It gets the power to the road. My car used to always engage the traction control light when giving it the gas in 1-3 gears(any mode). I have only seen that light come on once since installing the controller. The car feels faster because it is getting the power down. Rolling around corners hard the car doesn't lean the same, it feels like it is in complete control. When breaking hard the cars nose barely dives compared to what is used to. Launching with a Standard is challenging but feels like you have better launches. Best 0-60 went from 4.4 to 4.2 (on street)and I think I can get lower. I have not been out to our racetrack here Oklahoma called Hallet since the change but will report back after my first run this year.

If you have any gen6 car with Magnetic ride this device will make your car ride so much better. Even if you never go to the track it will make the car more enjoyable too drive.

I used to be interested in this controller but it seemed everyone was having connectivity problems related to their harness pigtail. Spendy toy to be hit/miss. Glad to see this device pop up for discussion again.

I had no problem getting it attached. I had read some people have had issues and was ready for it, but it was smooth going on.

So what is the install like? What has to be done?
Did you have to interface to a Software suite on your PC to set something up, or is this module pre-set and a simple "connect & go" ?

Just unsnapped controller, sprayed some wd-40 like DSC recommended and popped in in. One drawback I did mention is it is a little thick at the top than the original oem. I just used some duck tape too hold it in.

Here is some pics from DSC

The latest controller has wifi built in so using a laptop or phone to attach to controller like a Wireless Access Point and use a web browser to see. To use PC software you have to connect to controller via USB cable.
The controller came with a Gen 6 Camaro setting loaded.

Nice and easy.
Interesting that you feel such a great difference compared to the stock system.
I would have guessed that GM did a special effort in perfecting the settings for the 1LE in particular.

Can you further describe where you feel the differences? Add to your above review?
All-in-all, if this unit indeed proves itself for many users in the field, then I expect this to be a very popular mod. It is pricey indeed though and it would be interesting to also get a feel of the Price-to-Performance ratio.

Is there any difference in tour/sport/track settings with this controller?

Like with the stock only better. Touring is definitely makes the car ride nicer. Sport and track are stiffer but it still rides a lot better in those modes than stock. Have not tried in snow/ice mode.

You can manually go in and adjust the setting on the controller but I am content with the stock settings right now. I am sure in time I will want to manually dial it in a little but I like it where it is for OOB settings right now.

My Vette friend pointed out if you sell the car you can easily take this out and sell the DSC controller.

Won't that controller work on your new car too?
