Flowmaster Delta40/Outlaw Tandem Exhaust Systems 817746

There is a old thread on the general section, started by the Manufacturer, about this system. Anyone have one on their ZL1?

Sound clips are tough to go by, but I liked the ones Flowmaster posted on this system better than the Borla and Corsa ones I listened to. Lot cheaper than the crazy overpriced Borlas, and still 304 stainless.

I'm also considering longtubes, and I know they would probably work best with the factory muffler, unless I love the drone, which I don't. I just hate that big suitcase muffler and would like to get rid of it.

I have the American thunder axle back and love it. No drone at all and the sound is absolutely amazing. I am planing on long tubes in the future , will it drone then, not sure.

I am open minded. I just looked it up. Does not look bad at all.

Not sure, never weighed the stock box. I did weigh the flowmaster,,, and if I recall correctly, each axleback section weighed 22 or 24 pounds. I’m recalling from memory and it was the bathroom scale.

I had borla x-pipes and Flowmaster Outlaws on my last 2 Camaro SS....I love that sound, and I had no drone.
Planning on doing the same to the ZL1.

Thanks for the reply. I just ordered one.

Not crazy about having to cut the inlet pipes to the stock muffler, but every system I've seen requires that. I guess the factory made it all one piece. I always like to be able to return the car to stock when it comes time to sell. I suppose I can always just get it welded back together at a muffler shop if I want to re-install the old one.

You can buy butt clamps from Jegs or Summitt and easily put the system back together and it stays adjustable and reversible
