18" wheels for track (V6 1LE)

Planning to run square 18x9.5" wheels for more tire selection and cheaper consumable costs. If I go with a 40 aspect ratio, that should be pretty close to the diameter of stock size. I will probably run around -2 to -3 front camber, and -2 to -2.5 rear camber. I want to leave upgrade path to SS/ZL1 brakes or BBK open if it is needed in future. Anyone running a similar setup? I have seen a lot of posts about smallers wheels not clearing, but that seems to be more about the SS 1LE.

No need to target factory OD. Running smaller OD will only tighten gear ratios, no adverse effect aside from speedo reading high. I run 18’s that are 7-8% smaller OD than stock. I love the gearing change. PTM, ABS, etc work perfectly with smaller OD.

Oh, and OD= overall diameter of tire

my next set of wheels from apex will be 9.5 inches wide in an 18 as well. plan to run the 265/40-18 re71-r's
