Clunk noise under shifter & throttle delay

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reading this in advance. I have a 2017 2.0L with manual transmission. Has about 1400 miles on it now. Having some weird issues.

When I brake and right when the car comes to a full stop there is this clunking noise under the shifter and I can feel it through the shifter too. Not super loud but definitely very noticeable.

At times when engaging first gear and letting the clutch out, the throttle response pretty much goes dead then wakes up and revs jump higher than expected. It happens often but not all the time. I will say that I have owned many cars that were manual transmission and one had electronic throttle.

I really appreciate your time and any help/suggestions.

Thanks!

I have a clunk when engaging first after a full stop also a clunk in the rear. They have dismissed the diff issue multiple times and now the rear is a lot worse.

Wow. Sorry to hear it has gotten worse. Did you try different dealers? How many miles do you have? I don't really get any unusual noises when putting it into 1st from a stop. Mine seems to be getting louder. The throttle issues bothers me the most though.

I've been reporting it since 15-20k miles and I have 42k on the clock now... Convenient.

Shouldn't this be covered under your powertrain warranty (5 years / 60k)?

Why wait so long? Who knows what other issue can arise because of this. If your dealer sucks, find another. I know that's easier said than done for some, but in your case it might be worth the long drive if that's the case. Or escalate to corporate. I'd never put up with that knowing my warranty is still active.

I have been facing the same issue since 3K now I have 25K on The car, went to the dealer for 5 times and also took it to a deferent dealer. They just can’t find whats causing the clicking noise.
Then they just told me it’s normal car behavior.
