Motortrend 2018 SS 1LE vs 2018 Mustang

Looks like a big win for the Camaro.

But the new Coyote seems to be something special. Just not enough overall in the 2018 Mustang to match the awesome 1LE chassis.

The magazine has the article.

I can’t see the article because I’m not a member.....but how do the prices compare for the vehicles tested? That might be the answer to your question.

They said they wanted to test the top performance variants of each car at the time of the test. They also said they would have preferred that Ford send them a Performance Package 2 rather than the PP1, but that package was not available when they did the test. They added that they plan on testing the 1LE vs the PP2 as soon as Ford makes them available to the media. The quote:

"yes, we'll do it again. Soon too."

Hilarious as I just got my issue of motor trend yesterday and could not find any recent posts on this article. Thought it might be of interest. Apparently not, for you.

Why are they making us login to see it. Are they building a email list to sell so we get more spam?

Probably

Bottom line camaro is almost always a better car than the rustang anyhow .
Build quality better , reliability better , looks better , handles better and its a chevy

If someone cant afford a well built car , then they go for dodge or ford ( same goes for trucks )

They say the same thing over on the mustang forum... lol however, lots upset over this test. They're waiting for the PP2 redo.

Also lots of mustang guys upset with Ford that the PP2 doesn't have extra coolers. I agree with them. I was actually looking to order a PP2 until details and price came out. Glad I went with the Camaro anyway. Phew!

Yes, I was looking for all those threads too. But they are not specific threads on your topic but rather part of these huge VS threads where the fan boys are battling out the superiority of the Camaro/Firebird in all of history. It is a fun read but long.

The new GT is a big step up and while the Camaro still has a slight edge in handling speed is about even. But man the Mustang has gotten even more expensive than the Camaro if you get all the bell and whistles. Where the Mustang has the Camaro beat is as a car.

Edit: I take that first statement back, there is one:
