Will muffler delete get rid of warranty?
I want to go to a muffler shop and get a muffler delete on my camaro and I was simply wondering if it would compromise the warranty in any way. Is there anything I could do to go around it if it does?

On the warranty on the exhaust system would be compromised. Big question is why do you want to delete the mufflers? Are you trying to make the car sound like a clapped out junker on purpose?

theres a good chance it could. I've replaced most of the exhaust with the exception of the NPP tips which I've had powder coated black. The key thing for me was the re tune which def voided my warranty. My service guy with GM is a friend and is pretty up front with me. That being said, it just depends. If there's an issue and they run your ECM and all is still factory you'll probably have NO issue. All depends on what you take it in for if they need to run any codes. The new ECM is ridiculously sensitive and tracks anything that logs into it and time stamps it. It will run rougher without mufflers almost like a straight pipe. At that point you'd want to get in and have it tuned cause it'll run rough.

Exhaust system mods after the rear O2 sensors wont affect any other part of the warranty other than the exhaust system itself. |
