Electronic flash, radio problem
So I was leaving work riding down the round in second gear at about 20 mph and then all of my electronics flashed off and then back on. My digital screen went back to standard when it came back on. The car prompted me to let down my driver window and let it back up, and then the same for the passenger window.
Ok, everything looks good after that and then I notice the buttons for my radio stations are great and it won’t let me set any stations. When I try to press the button to set the station it says “a device containing this favorite may not be connected.” Anybody know what made that happen and how to get my stations back set? |

If it flashed you to reset window indexing, I’ll bet it’s a bad connection at the batt, a bad batt or it’s a low voltage condition. Check both battery lug connections, and check voltage w/ a voltmeter......, less than 12.0 V, that’s the problem

It’s very cold out. 13 degrees, and the car did stutter a little before it started. Definitely gonna check the connections.

Do you know where the negative terminal is under the hood?

You can’t pull it from under the hood, you need to shut down the entire system. It’s right inside the little door on the right-hand side of the trunk wall, with a 10 mm wrench.

Thanks glen. I fixed the problem though. It was definitely a loose nut. Tightened it up and the car didnt stutter when starting and the radio is just fine.
