There are 18 inch wheels that will fit over the brakes. The problem is inner clearance. Im assuming you are wanting to do something wide? If so, you will be limited.

+1 on the 18" wheels fitting over the brakes. Tire Rack will tell you exactly what fits in each width. I'm running 18" snow tires on all four corners.

I'm sure someone has a brake template for these. They should fit in the barrel of most 18" wheels but certainly not all. I believe any of the Apex ARC-8 or EC-7 18" wheels will clear the caliper but there's not much room. I ran them on a different car with 380mm front brakes and clearance was only 2-3mm. Prepare to cosmetically damage the calipers and wheel barrels in doing so because tiny pebbles and other road debris will get caught between the two and scratch both up. There's no getting around it.

So what do you guys suggests for 18' winter tires? After some research I found that no 18's radius perfectly matching that from the original 305/30/R20. I wonder how much tolerance can the car handle before ABS or traction control steps in? Tire rack suggests 275/40/R18 and 285/40/R18 for front/rear.

18" APEX
Plenty of claipier clearance. 1/2" spacer and some mild clearancing needed on the strut. |
