Savagegeese's ZL1 1LE Review is out now

I have been watching his Youtube videos and known him since I had my Supercharged BRZ since he also used to own a SC'd FRS and was an active forum member. I love the fact that he skips all that marketing gimmick when he reviews the car and also brings track/performance cons and pros to the table and very detail oriented about them.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy as I did

Thanks for the link Cem, pretty solid review. His review of the on road ride is spot on if you ask me.

I agree, I prefer his videos since I find them a bit unbiased and very direct to the point though. For the metrics only MotorTrend reviews are available of course.

Mr. Goose does excellent reviews and this was no exception. I appreciated the talk about under-car, brakes and heat exchangers. I liked how he pointed out that although the car has been criticized in other reviews for having a stiff ride, it's better than most aftermarket track suspensions that enthusiasts put on their cars. I can relate to that!

Praises car for 45 mins straight.....then says he’d take a mustang because it’s more streetable. Maybe he should try out a standard zL1? :whoknows:

I think there is such an overload of people out there on youtube giving "their" opinion on stuff, its to the point in which it doesn't matter who you are you will find someone to validate your car. however no one is asking if these people are being objective or if they are informed about the cars that they review which if people did you might see a lot of these youtubers actually fail.

But he wasn't buying a ZL-1 1LE, he was reviewing one?

Same thing happened when they were comparing ZL1 to GT350R on MT video ZL1 beat the GT350R on every metric yet they still decided to announce the GT350R as winner because "it sounded better(!)" Of course metrics are not everything but same can be said for the sound also I think

I liked the part where they compared the times between the ZL1 and GT350R being so close while ignoring the chart where the lowly 1SS 1LE tied the GT350R.

Yes, I remember that. Probably because of different day and track conditions since ZL1 also did 1:26.16 on a previously but could only do 1:27.9 or something when GT350R did the same time with the 1LE (1:28.29). They tested the ZL1 and 1LE on the same day previously.

GT350R should be at least a second quicker there by looking at their Laguna Seca times and the above. However for the price and potential 1LE is hard to beat of course
