Power Steering failure
Went to pick up the Camaro Saturday after turning it in for power steering failure and the rear end grind. The dealer replaced the differential, but only found a C0800 low power failure for the PS. They could not duplicate the PS failure. While driving home, it failed again, so I returned to the dealer. It failed 2 more times and only once did the Power Steering Failure - Drive carefully pop up. This cars been to the dealer quite a bit. It dropped some valves and the heads were replaced, differential replaced, and now 2nd instance of PS failure.

Sorry to hear that your having these problems with your Camaro. I'm in the same boat. Ive had the rear differential replaced, rack and pinion replaced, exhaust replaced. Rear axle shafts replaced. Seems like these cars have a lot of issues. Good luck with it though.

Power plug fully seated? Yes. Then: Torque sensor intermittently defective, some long enough to set codes, some not. u

It took them at least 4 days to figure out to read the bottom line I guess. The part was supposed to be in on Monday. We will see how long it takes to install and probably needs an alignment.

It's lucky they came to that conclusion.
Usually they want a hard failure, or codes, which is ridiculous and dangerous. You have a good technician. .

All,
It went in for a third time. I think the issue was resolved. A ground on the front drivers side of the engine block was loose. So far so good. |

Engine ground takes out the PS. I think that bad ground could be contributing to slow cranking issues. Keep your fingers crossed
