Wheel Recommendations
I'm looking to buy some new wheels for the ZL1. Just curious as to what wheels and what size you are running other than stocks. I'm looking for some recommendations.
I was thinking about going slightly wider and maybe a 18 but I haven't made up my mind yet. Only reason I thought about going smaller is because I have quite a few road racing slicks that will fit on 18x10's.

You can't fit an 18" wheel over your brakes. 19" is the smallest you can go. Using the ZL1 1LE wheels, you can do Hoosier R7's in 315/30-19 and 325/30-19. There are guys already running that setup.
You'd have to swap to the SS 1LE aka ATS-V brakes to fit an 18".

I think I want to stay away from the zl1 1le wheels also. I'd rather do something a little off the beaten path. Seems like alot of guys are getting those wheels.

I did Forgeline 19's. There might be a better-looking wheel out there, but I saved 10lbs per wheel+tire for a savings of 40lbs altogether over stock.
Forgeline GS1R's 19X10 22MM fronts, 19X11 43MM in rears. I used PK Auto Design. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/attach...1&d=1510669846

18 inch wheels will to fit over the brakes. I have done it with my tsw’s from the vette. The back spacing however was way off for them to fit.

You should definitely be able to fit 18"s...Forgeline and I'm sure others makes 18" that clear the optional massive Carbon Ceramics on the C7 Z06 as well as the C6 ZR1. You won't be able to put your average truck 18" on it but a good wheel company definitely can make it happen.

Yup. North of that. About $1300 per. Saved weight but not cheap.

Really depends if you are looking for daily driving wheels or track wheels.
If you are looking for track wheels you need to good with a really good company because there are so many horror stories out there about wheel cracking or breaking at the track under those conditions. I personally like HRE because they been around a long time, have amazing customer support and offer a wide range of wheels and finishes. You might want to take a look there RC series wheels as they are decent pricing for racing wheels and look pretty cool. Here is a picture of a RC100. |
