Fun time @ Sonoma Raceway
Had a great time at Sonoma Raceway this Saturday. There was extensive fog in the morning and the first session was cancelled. Tires take two laps to warm up under these conditions. It was my second day on track with the ZL1 1LE and still getting use to the beast lol.

Thanks haha
Track conditions and cold tires. These tires need a good two laps before they grip. Once they are warm, they're great. I'll be trying a set of NT01's next. Thanks! We looked at the video afterwards in the paddock and couldn't believe I didn't get any mud on the car lol Context/Background - Requirement of this run group is 1:54 or less lap times. I'm running 1:50's in the ZL1 1LE. I know at least half the people in this run group. A lot of them are close friends. When I'm in the .1 GT3, I run 1:47's and can better play with the faster people in the group. The event organizer is in the grey GT3 RS that waves after I give the point by. I assure you no one thought I was in the wrong group. Thanks! Yes there is a girl in the car. It's not me laughing like a school girl lol |

I'm working on it lol
I'm used to rear weight biased cars with a lot less torque. As you can see, I think there's going to be a long adjustment period |

You can still go full circle with full nannies, and even more so when you're in the sport modes. I got my rear wheels in front of me a couple of times at COTA myself.
Curious comment. You say that just based on the wheels breaking loose? Anyway, nice save! Glad it was at a safe speed and was more fun than it was scary. Tires must have been completely cool - it looked like you hit a patch of black ice how graceful you began to slide through the corner.

Don't get me wrong, I love me a P-car. My 991 GT3RS was out of this world. But, the ZL1 1LE is a monster and very capable of keeping up with and passing all of those in your video. Let me drive it! LOL I'll post up some video from Road Atlanta this weekend when I take mine out and show those boys who's boss. |
