255/35 285/35 or stay OEM 245/40 275/35

Just wondering if I would really benefit from going one size "up" front and rear as I'm soon to buy tires. Not much difference in price, and when considering 19" wheels, my only gain is being able to rotate tires. I'm between the Firestone and new Conti, the Conti is $300 more for the set, but I know with a lot of tires it's worth it. Been down the cheaper tire route before and was never happy, although I loved my Firestone SZ50EP's back in the day. Thanks for any input. If it poses a clearance issue on the front, I'll stay with OEM sizes.

Have this same question. I’m leaning towards the sizes up as the 275 really isn’t doing it.

No problem with those bigger sizes. Completely up to you.

Also those Continentals ECS are better than the old PSS.

I found Michelin Pilot Sport 4s's for $990 shipped and Pilot Super Sports for $1025 shipped in the larger sizes. I really don't know the differences in these two though.

Get the Pilot Sport 4s. They supersede the Super Sports.

Just worked out an awesome deal on the Pilot 4S's at DT. They matched Discountedwheelwarehouse at $990 and then gave me the $100 Visa, a $60 Visa for putting them on my DT card. Another $70 will be coming from Michelin! No more looking at wheels. Or other cars.
