So much for hoping that the 2SS 1LE package would come in cheaper than on 1SS. Today GM announced that pricing for SS 1LEs produced on or after 10/9/17 has been revised and is now $7,000 msrp for both 1SS and 2SS.

Sold customer orders in system before today will not be affected by the price increase.

Note: Only sold customer orders entered into the system that show a SRE status and customer name will get protection.

From the notification that I got from GM.

Dealer price schedules will be available in GlobalConnect effective October 09, 2017.

Retail sold order price protection eligibility dates are dictated by the customer and dealer order dates as follows:
-Customer order date must be prior to the date of the price increase.
-GM systems order date (date dealer enters in GM system) must be no more than one work day after date of the price increase.
These units will be invoiced at prices in effect at the date of production; however, the dealer open account will automatically be credited for the price increase once the unit has been delivered.

Correct......and that “customer order date” is what GM sees as the customer order date via the GM workbench report, Not what’s on a buyers order and not in the system.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. It's pretty simple. Anyone that has a SRE sold order "In System" prior to today is protected. Anyone that has an order that goes in system after tomorrow, is not protected.

Because there are people out there that have given cash and written a buyers order to a dealer and he is waiting to put it in the system and/or he’s put it in the system as a stock order and Not put a retail name on it… We went through this exclusively over the Corvette site. It is very strict rules that GM has.

Why is this a bad thing? The more expensive new ones sells helps us with 17 retain a “bit” more value xD (yeah im greedy)

Anyway $500 increase really wont affect payments om the long term

right 8 dollars more a month for 60 months for a beast of a car is still highly worth it

It's not. My title was more of a jab at all of the folks that thought the 2SS 1LE package price would come in less than the 1SS 1LE.

That being said, let's not kid ourselves. No one would be happy if a dealer raised the price of their car by $500.
