1500 Mile Oil change and rear diff fluid change

So at 1500 miles should you change the oil and rear diff fluid? I don’t recall seeing that in the manual but believe I read that on this forum (?)

Oil is always preference and technically the rear diff fluid change is only recommended if you plan to track it. But a lot seem to be doing it to prevent the rear diff groaning noise in the winter( or at least a method of prevention). But this only applies to the regular SS's. Don't think we have heard any cases of the eLSD having the same groaning noise.

By all means change both. The diff fluid comes out black and deposits tons of shavings on the magnetic plugs. If you track your car it is recommended to change it (in addition) after your first track day and then every 20 hrs (say 10 track days or so). Tranny every 24 hrs.

Doing the diff at the same time is good preventive maintenance. I had minimal residue on the magnetic drain plug when I did mine, but it did still have some crud on the magnet.
Glad I changed my diff fluid.

Thought it was recommended to change diff before first track day and then 20 hrs of track time.

I never saw a recommendation for the trans and 24hrs...

Does the trans and diff fluid mix? I was under the car and there are lines that come out of the diff and clearly run into the trans.

Yes, the diff fluid interval is change once before 1st track day and then every 20 hours of track time.

There is no like service interval for the transmission.

Guys, read the manuals. It is all there. Including the tranny interval (in addition to the diff interval.
Plus changing the diff fluid AFTER a first track day. Albeit many do one before after break in and then again after 1st track day.

EDIT: page 205

Since there is a e-Diff mechanism, I understand there are 2 separate chambers: one for the gear and the other for the e-Diff (electronic/control) part?
The chamber for the gears calls for a weight of 75W90 gear fluid? Any favorite brand?
What about the other fluid chamber (if there is)?

GM brand per the manual for the gear diff ("pumpkin"). About $60 at a dealer. The e-chamber not necessary albeit have to check the manual re frequency.

do both, the diff is filthy. you can ignore the tranny fluid since it was super clean.

Yep, this is what I thought.
I usually use BG Professional products:
