Well, I'm back...and a few questions

I sold my recently aquired ZL1 1LE as I got a surprise opportunity to buy an AMG GTR. Long story short, someone else wanted the GTR much more than me and the dealer backed out of our agreement and sold it to another buyer for well over sticker.

So, no AMG GTR for me, and my ZL1 1LE was sold. What to do? I picked up another ZL1.. this time a non-1LE so I can also drive it on the street comfortably. The Camaro folks at Chevrolet should love me now after buying two ZL1's!

I'm planning to track this one as well, so I had it aligned recently and was able to get -2.4 degrees of negative camber up front and -1.8 out back with all stock parts. Not bad compared to Porsche where you have to buy shims, toe links, caster pucks, etc to do a track alignment.

Does anybody have the part numbers for the stock brake pads, rotors, and calipers front and back? There is much confusion from dealers as they gave me the SS 1LE parts which I think are different sizes for the rotors and pads.

The pads are GM 89047744 - Rear and GM 23399101 - Front (also, same as the newer CTS-V pads). Pretty sure the rotors are the same as well. I don't remember the rears off hand, but fronts are 2-piece and 390mm in diameter.

Thanks, not sure about the rotors yet but the pads are available for a great price online! Or maybe I'm just used to Porsche pricing.

Who else makes 2 piece rotors for the rear? Not paying a million dollars for racing brake.

I haven't found any others. I asked Essex about AP racing J hook rotors for the ZL1 which I would love, but they have no plans to make rotors for our cars.

How were you able to get that much camber with stock? I thought -2.0 front and -1.5 Rear was max?

Centric is making various rotors for the ZL1. Cryo, drilled, slotted, high carbon...a few options.

Not sure who said that was the max camber with stock parts. My before and after alignment is attached.

Yeah, I wasn't happy with the Mercedes dealer.. But that said I'm loving the ZL1, and I like this one even more than the ZL1 1LE as my spine isn't adjusted when I drive it.

The new car is a manual also... I was impressed with the A10, but ended up going manual.. rev matching and hearing the LT4 sing puts a smile on my face.

Centric is one of the biggest rotor manufacturers there is. They make Stoptech. Good stuff.

Thanks! $370 a piece isn't bad for the fronts!
