ZL1 insurance rates: Post yours up!

Interested to hear what others are paying as I’m looking to switch. Post what you pay and important details. Thanks!

Started with Geico on a whim during my sales transaction. WAY over priced paying $16X/month for a pleasure vehicle 3k miles a year. Base full coverage rates. It went up significantly from my ZL1 specific quote....to when I entered my VIN.

Just ran a quote through progressive. $66/month base full coverage rate 3k miles for a ZL1 (didn’t ask for VIN.....yet). Anyone have an opinion on Progressive level of service?

I live in CA and haven’t had a ticket in 5+ years, or an accident ever. 35yr old male.

It all depends on where you live of course, I live here in Louisiana and I have a 2017 1SS and with State Farm it would have cost me 179.00 a month full coverage way more than I pay on my 2012 RAM 2500, so it pays to shop around for a good quote.

Id prefer to have good service as well. Some companies roll over when you need them. I wish Allied had an online quote tool, as I’ve had good experiences with their service years ago. But this is 2017 and I’m not interested in a 20 minute phone call working with shitty voice recognition menus and annoying humans lol.

Just ckd on renewing my insurance yesterday. Mine will run in the $500 range for 6 months $250k/$500k with $250 deductible. Would cost $70 more to go to $100 deductible. Currently with Progressive and switching to AutoOwners as they are $170 cheaper per 6months than Progressive.

If you vehicle is NOT a daily driver go Collector Car insurance you get an “Agreed Value” vs. Market Value.

I have my 17 SS vert with an agreed value of $54k I am paying around $550 a year from Grundy.

I have an app in to Grundy for review. Been researching them tonight. Mixed reviews about what they consider “pleasure driving”. Some people
Report no errands, trips out of town, etc will be covered in their fine print. Haggerty seems to be more flexible on “type” of driving.

Out of town trips are not an issue I travel to them all the time. A fellow club member was heading to a show of of town was in an accident and his SS was totaled about 5 days later a check in hand.

Heard traveling to verified car shows is okay....but not other vacation travel. I’ll look into the policy details myself once I get my email tomorrow.

The expensive part of most insurance is the UM coverage. And that premium widely varies by the city you live in. In South Florida there are droves of people who drive without insurance so my UM coverage makes up 65% of my premium at $900 /6 months for 100/300 coverage and matching UM.
