Rock chips

Have any of you gentlemen had any problems with rock chips anywhere on your ZL1s?
My son has a 2016 ss and has issues with chips in front of the rear wheels on the are where the fender flares out, our ZL1s have additional side skirts the ss doesn't have, Do these prevent the rock chips in this area?
I would like to get one of the films put on if this is a problem for our cars.

I preemptively protected a number of areas on mine, though I can't tell you what areas get hammered at this point. I did the whole rocker panel and section in front of the rear wheel. Also did a few areas behind the rear wheel. That and the front fascia/splitter were my main concerns.

I just came to this forum, per usual, to post that I’ve had horrendous luck with rock chips this past week. I’ve noticed at least 3 new bad chips and a few scratches on the sides! This paint is so brittle.

A few in the front fascia. Couple in the splitter. One or two on the side skirts. Couple on the driver and passenger doors. One on the roof where the welds are by the top where the window rolls up. One on my rear wing. Three on the rear panels where the body work meets the rear diffuser kicked up from the rear tires. And this is all in the 1000 miles ive driven it since I got it. Soon it’s gonna be in really sad shape. I think I need a full wrap.

Fring, when ours shows up, its straight to the Suntek dealer, on a rollback.
These sticky fat ass tires are rotary paint blasters!

I got one almost immediately on the driver A-pillar. I'm careful AF too. Haven't been in the freeway much and always keep a large following distance.

Squatch, all kidding aside, we Suntek all of our vehicles as we live in Schuylkill Co. Pa (Coal Country). Think roadways in Iraq with a lot of white people.

Man, that sucks. Thankfully I have almost all those areas protected. Not the roof or rear wing, but everywhere else you mentioned. He had some extra film left, so he did the lower 4-5 inches of each door and fender. I think I'll be in pretty good shape.

I seriously drove the car home and parked it in the garage until my film appointment. I really don't like rock chips or having things repainted.

Full body Xpell here, if you're buying a nice car you plan to keep get legit paint protection asap. None of that "coat" crap, get a clear bra.
