Manual transmission owners* 1ss or 2ss

so i have a 2018 1ss M6. it is my first manual car. I knew how to drive a manual before hand. i dont know if its just me, a couple other people said they experience the same thing and that it is normal. When shifting 1st to 2nd does anyone else feel like 2nd is a very rough gear? i feel it alot trying to get into 2nd. it goes in fine its just not as smooth as every other gear. Feel like a clicking feel when it goes into place. But doesnt feel like its wrong. Maybe its just normal and i just have very little manual experience or maybe thats just chevys tranny and gear box. if you have any input please just let me know. cars brand new. Clutch is fully engaged every up/down shift. I keep rev match on to its less stress on the car. Other than that the car drives perfectly fine, sounds great and is a beast.

I've got the V6 but I'm imanuel I did experience that with first and second gear for about the first 1500 or so miles. I think it's just you're breaking in the shifter

alright brother something you want to think of doing when you get to between 1000 and 1500 miles is changing your rear end fluid. I'm sure you'll be able to find guys that have done it in the V8 section. and if you can't I put some pictures up when I did mine in the V6 section. It came out insanely black and lumpy. you won't believe how dirty it will be from breaking in.

Just to be perfectly clear, we're not talking about the skip shift function, are we?

If not, I found that I was having some small issues at first, but cleared up in about 1K miles. My theory is that the dual disk clutch takes a little time to break in so that both disks function smoothly together in some setups. Just a theory.

I have a 2017 1SS M6, but have not experienced what you guys described at all. Currently at 3,500 miles

I think it might possibly be because of skip shift. I bought the skip shift eliminator so once i install that next week ill see if maybe thats part of the prob. Only thing i dont like about the car. Function is annoying LOL

Its very common for the TR6060 from I am told. Changing the fluid can help.

I changed the synthetic transmission fluid and that helped. It was mainly an issue when the fluid was cold.

It is a bit rough yes. First gear is really designed for launches. A tip to get around this is go from 1st to 3rd or 4th if you are just cruising, or start in 2nd gear if you are rolling through a stop sign or something. That's what I do haha

2018, car is brand spanking new. It will smooth itself out over time. The stock knob is pretty heavy as its weighted, it will be buttery smooth within a few thousand miles. Drive it OP.

I have a 2018 1SS 1LE with a skip shift eliminator and experience the 1-2 rough shifting. Seems to get better when the transmission is hot. Also smooths out the higher the engine RPM is. 1260 miles. Almost "broken in"!
