17 1LE Whipple Milan MI Dragstrip
First time to strip with Camaro 1LE with Whipple SC, and stock tires.
Ran 2 time trials and then was eliminated in 1st bracket after I missed 3rd gear on what felt like my best launch. :( All my 60ft were over 2 sec and the best I got was 2.0. I guess this is not uncommon on stock tires looking at other threads and I added more torque to deal with having the Whipple on there. Here are the 2 trials slips, not even going to bother showing the missed 3rd slip.... Lots of practice is in my future was really hoping to break into 11s but not to be today. Also reaction time sucked but the one I got in the RED was .04 in the red so that was real close to damn good... hopefully I'll get better. |

I give you credit for having the balls to run your car on a race track man. Seems like the majority of people who've been adding superchargers on this site, are just doing street squid stuff with them.

Well the good news is based on your trap speed, you'll EASILY be in the 11's once you get it to hook. Tires along with practice will make a massive difference. I feel your pain though. I've only been to the track once with my car when it was stock, hoping for low 12's. I was so eager to race that day that I went even though it was 92 degrees and humid as a bastard. Not once did I get it to hook up right, and I ran 11 times. Best time of 12.6. Also couldn't break a 2 second 60 foot. The combination of the stock tires, high humidity, and the M6 make it extremely hard. I'm ordering a wheel and tire package myself now that I have the procharger on there.
Don't lose hope though. Get some tires and practice and you'll get there. Probably by the next time you go. |

Its got to be tough with a manual, a supercharger and stock tires. Props for going.
Maybe ill see you at Milan some time. Although ive been going to US 131 more lately as the prep is far superior to Milan most nights. Onandaga just north of Jackson has opened back up as well after being closed for 35 years so they say. Im sure the first month or two prep will be kinda iffy until the track gets sticky/some rubber down. |

Not sure what yours made on the dyno, but probably in the mid 500 range and I would have thought your mph would have been equal to the zl1 at least 123 range. Go out there with some drag radials, don't miss any gears and give it hell.

Thx guys for the support appreciate it.
@hitmix300 Damn straight would be fun. @laynlo15 Still never been dyno'd and still running Whipple tune. I have this on deck next year... since I'll need a tune after I do headers/exhaust anyhow. Regarding MPH I hit 127 on the PDR recording but I'm sure that was just my lead foot and nerves still past the finish line LOL. I do think with tires I would be at the ZL1 speed point. Every race I was gaining quickly on the other guy that had slicks... one was Shelby Supersnake from the 60s and here is the run I think was the 12.4 slip. https://youtu.be/pGkgTufQ_zQ |

Way to go ,it's good to see that some supercharger guys actually go to a drag strip and run.

I give you props also for running your boosted car, I'm seeing a lot more guys going that route and not posting slips.
![]() I would def invest in some meaty rubber and head back...it's hard enough being stock and not smoking the tires, while you have added another 100+ ponies. I'm not a fan of canned tunes either..I would make that #2 on my list. Good luck homie, looking forward to seeing you make some blistering passes.
