Best Friend Not Allowed - I'm feeling guilty.

Except for taking this picture for a 2013 holiday card, my best buddy was never allowed in that car again, nor in it's 2017 replacement. I feel bad, but I can't take the thought of hair and scratches. What is your policy on letting your 4 legged friends ride along?

Yeah, the dog claws scratch the plastic door panels very easily.

Uhh...I own a Vizsla & Deutsch Drahthaar.

Never...they belong in the truck when it's time to bird hunt in two weeks.

One of the reasons I dont have a dog. I would have to leave him home when I go for a full day drive.

I have 3, 2 Boxer's and a French Bulldog. The frenchie is allowed in the car, he just chills on the seat, doesn't try to climb the doors to stick his head out the window or anything. Doesn't shed much if at all either.

The 2 boxers on the other hand are only allowed in the back seat of the wife's charger with a dog blanket laid down. They are well behaved in the car as far as dogs go, but they drool/shed and like having their faces blowing in the wind.

That pic is amazing. That expression is priceless. I do allow my dog to sit up front with me but I make sure to put a blanket on the seat. He's big so he doesn't put his paws on the doors or arm rests. He just sticks his nose out the window with paws on the seat. He's a short hair dog (pitbull) so no hair to worry about. I do have to wipe off some slobber though on the windows and dash.

I let mine in the car but I put blankets down so her claws don't touch anything. She gets the back seat all to herself since she is too big for the front.

No animals in my car either. When I bought my Camaro, the previous owner must have allowed his/her dog in the car & the dealership did a crappy job of detailing the car before handing it over to me. It took me almost 1/2 a day to get all those pokey little dog hairs out of the carpet, they were so woven in the carpet, especially in between the seats! Ugh

I took my ex's pooch to the groomer in my old Cruze. Puked in it. No pets in my car ever again. I have an old '02 Sierra that they can mess up if we ever decide to get a dog.

Fortunately my doggie is only about 30lbs and is very calm in the car. She mostly just lays down or looks out of the passenger window. I bought a seat cover to put in to protect the seat but its more of a PITA to take in and out so I just don't use it anymore. There is dog hair and what not but I clean my car every weekend so its a non issue.
