Door trim lighting or ambient lighting question

Hey guys I have a 2016 1LTCamaro, and I got the interior door trim lighting with the footwell lighting or the ambient lighting whatever you want to call it. The issue is that the dealership said this is their first time installing this. Anyone know of any GM engineers that can help guide them to install it properly. I posted on cosmetic modifications but no one answered. Id appreciate anyone that can help, I really don't want any issues.
