Who has the highest Miliage?

Who has the highest mileage on their SS? And does it get faster with more miles, does the exhaust note change. Any issues?

I only have 7400, but I have noticed the exhaust sounds better now. At least until it turns cool again and the rattle returns.

Almost 6k on mine. My exhaust rattles for maybe 3min, until warmed up, it doesn't bother me because I know its just a temperature thing.

I have the V6 I definitely found that it got faster around 2500 K or so. Also I do agree that the exhaust does sound a little deeper but you do need to wait for the rattle to go away as it warms up at least for the NPP.

I have about 18,700 on my 16 SS. I've only owned it for 3 months, was a lease with a previous owner before me.

The only probs I've had so far is the transmission shudder/vibration & a spoiler issue. I'm having the windshield fogging issue too, but may not take it in for that.

No other problems.......................................... yet.

We'll see if it's any faster this fall

About to hit 25k on my stick shift 2016 2SS. No rattle. Only two issues - the Brembo rotors have warped twice so far. I haven't bothered having them skimmed this time, but first time it happened around 15k and I got the dealership to tend to them at no charge. This time the shake at braking started around 22k I guess. I intend to upgrade them anyway. Doesn't appear to cause any braking issues, I mostly just notice it by the gearstick wobbling. Second issue is the entertainment screen will cut off on rare occasions. If I'm on a long journey and shut the car off for a couple of minutes (at a gas station or something), on rare occasions (I think it's happened three or four times total) the screen will remain black. Shutting the car off for a few minutes and starting again will result in the screen working. My assumption is that it's a heat issue. I haven't run it by the dealership as yet as it's so intermittent and isn't a huge deal. This first occurred around 18k miles I think...maybe a little sooner.

First set of stock rear tyres lasted about 20k miles. Fronts are still stock and I expect them to last up to 40k miles, but I suspect more likely I'll change them around 30k. I'm currently running performance SUV tyres on the rear as I got them cheap ($40 each fitted and balanced). 275/40R20. Pretty terrible traction, but entertaining and hard wearing. I intend to switch out to z28 wheels and tyres by January, before I start autocrossing again.

I can't say I've noticed any real change in the car with regards to exhaust sound. Feels like the same car it always has. I was in a wreck after owning it for only just over a month, front and rear damage. Hasn't seemed to have made any difference to handling or performance. The only mods I'm running are a RotoFab air intake, a Vitesse throttle controller, and a skip-shift delete.

Without the Vitesse I don't think I'd be enjoying the car half as much. I intend to eventually get a tune to replace that, though. No real desire to change the car for something difference, but would certainly be keen to go for more power next year. This month will mark one year of ownership so far.

How are you warping the rotors. Haven't heard that at all. Washing the car when it's hot?

They warp pretty easily. Not easy on rotors to go from 140-150mph to 70-80mph, heats them up really quick. Warped mine in under 5k miles. Replaced with after market slotted. Hasn't happened since.

Even harder to go from 170mph to "acceptable" speed for an off ramp.

Forgot to actually mention my milage....almost 28k, since May of 16, put into storage Oct 16, pulled back out 4/18/17(My b-day). I can't seem to get enough of this car....I drive it just to drive. Gotta be careful for the next month though, 3 tickets in under 12 months and my license is gone for 3 months. Literally never got a single ticket in my life until I got this car. 2 tickets that stuck, 1 that got tossed for lack of ANY correct info on the ticket(thank god, $555 ticket) and 4 warnings since.

52759 when I pulled into work tonight. I have had the car for fourteen months. 80% highway miles. Lifetime mileage: ~18 MPG

Random observations:

The car was...tight for the first 2-3k miles and beyond break-in. Beyond that, it got faster, the exhaust tone got a little less "tinny", the gate on the shifter loosened up a little and gained a really pleasing silky smooth quality on shifts, while retaining a decisive snick-snick quality when you would shift that I had only ever felt on very old european sports cars with metal plates on the shifter gate, like old E-type Jags and a Maserati. The car got quicker too, and the grab point on the clutch became a little more forgiving. My 0-60 times and launches got better. Recently, the silk has gotten a bit more coarse. Time to change out the gearbox oil? Probably.

Is it possible that the car can run quicker/faster after an hour or two of spirited driving? I would swear this car runs better at temperature than after 20 minutes of cooling off.

As the miles went by, the MRC has softened a bit. To be expected, right?

I have driven 95% of these miles with the NPP fuse pulled. I don't think I am imagining this, but the car is quieter than it was before. Carbon build up inside the pipes acting to muffle the sound? Time for a change? Maybe. I like it loud.

I have the differential groan, but it doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it. I am beyond the initial bumper to bumper period, and it's my daily driver. They will not hook me up with a rental to get to work if I take it in.

My sole lingering warranty issue is this occasionally annoying Bose Active Noise Cancellation mis-calibration/resonance sound thing that makes it sound like a rear speaker is blown every now and then. But, see my reasoning for not dealing with the differential groan.

Half way through my second set of tires. Michelin PS4's. Love them. Put them on 17k ago. Looks like their estimate of 30k miles was pretty on-target.

Considering mods. Light ones at least. e85. Headers, tune. Maybe a supercharger. The car is fun, but it doesn't scare the shit out of me. And I need that to truly love a performance car. I need to feel like it's trying to kill me.

Still would buy it all over again.
