Recaro seat covers?
Hello fellow 1LE owners, this is my first post on the forum. The 1LE is my first car and I am keen on keeping it in pristine condition. I have spent at least 10 hours vacuuming it since I got in less than 3 months ago. I want to keep the seats in the best condition I can but want to know what you guys recommend. I tried to see if anyone else posted the same question but didn't find anything. Do ya guys wanna keep your seated protected?!?

Heck yes! don't have mine yet... but I think the recaros are better than leather. they shouldnt crack or fade as much.

lol - I think he wants to know about getting covers for his Recaros.
so, good question - I actually haven't thought about it that much. I guess subconsciously I don't think i'll have it that long - ZL1, ZL1, ZL1. I haven't seen anything around though.

I have a black t-shirt pulled over the drivers seat back so if I get in it sweaty I don't trash the seat too much. Hillbilly seat covers. HAHA. Alacantra (synthetic suede) is easily cleaned with a clean towel and water. I do wear race type gloves while on track to protect the steering wheel (and gear shift) from sweat and to improve my grip

6 months of daily driving here and seats still look new (once cleaned lol) I am using SONAX interior cleaner and a interior brush to revive the suede inserts on the seats as well as steering wheel and shifter. I also used Scotchguard 3M fabric protector when I first got the car and keep a lint roller in the center console. Id honestly just keep up on the maintenance and forego covers.

All I do is brush the suede on my seats with a stiff brush. The steering wheel and shifter I use a wet micro fiber with super hot water on it and wipe them off. Then I dry them with a dry clean MF towel and then once dry brush them as well.
6k miles later and the seats and steering wheel/shifter look pristine. |
