GM may need to put 10 speed in for SS then as well.

I love it. The more Ford does, the more Chevy has to do. You have 455hp? Well now we have 460hp. I love these modern day pony car wars! Also, my bet is that the 2019 Camaro refresh will get the 10 speed.

Wow...I thought they'd hit 4 seconds to match the Camaro, or maybe be within a tenth or two, but nope, under 4 seconds. I said the 10 speed was going to change the game for the Mustang, and look what happened.

Of course, the Camaro has also been tested in 0 - 60 in 3.9 or 3.8 seconds also, so this basically puts the two extremely even.

But what about the 1/4 mile? If the Mustang can tie Camaro in 0 - 60, having the same peak HP and a 10 speed should mean it should be able to tie the Camaro in the 1/4 mile as well.

You can bet the 2019 Camaro will get the 10 speed as well, but we don't NEED it as bad as Mustang needed it. The 10 speed won't give Camaro the large bump in performance over the 8 speed that we saw going from the 6 speed to 10 speed in the Mustang...but I think it may help just a bit.

Good for Mustang....they've caught up to us in straight line performance. Curious to see if they can make the car as great to drive.

what's the point when all you'll be able to do in it is swerve out of control into people and cars?

Straightline the 18 S550 should be right there with the Camaro if the Mustang has the A10.

It will be interesting to see how the 18 Mustang does with the enhancement to the PP. I still expect the Camaro to have an edge in handling but maybe Mustang will be more competitive

Still down 35 lb-ft of torque.
I would still give the Camaro the advantage. Even if the 'Stang has the 10spd.

So 5 more HP and 35 less TQ vs. my 17SS. Plus it's a Mustang i will still pass on it.

Can't wait for comparison tests! I suspected the official power # would be very close to the SS's 455hp.

Is the 460hp SAE certified?

Aren't all engines SAE certified?
