Didn't think about that! That's probably true. I'd definitely show the local PD what happened. Very strange indeed.

You can definitely file a report. Freaking weird behavior. Maybe they mistook you for someone who cut them off earlier or something.

In any case, perfect example of why I always have a firearm in the car.

You did the right thing by driving away, they were either going to rob you are kick your ass, people are weird these days. I suggest that all people have video cameras in their vehicles for that reason, to protect yourself and its proof in court. I have no issues being videoed when I'm doing my job.

You should file a report with your local police department, if though you think this is minor they could have robbed or car jacked someone else instead of you and the video would help in the arrest, since their is good footage of the suspect, vehicle and tag info in the video.

I have a camera in all my vehicles and film at all times, I would suggest you change the setting to video at 2 or 5 minutes segments I have mine set at 5 minutes.

I always carry off duty at all times and if you can carry concealed or can get a concealed permit you should.

he must have mistaken you for someone else. with all the people standing around, doubt he was randomly robbing you.

My camera only records in one minute segments, but I did not provoke these individuals.. nor have I ever seen them in my life. Not sure what the four of them wanted.. wasn't going to stick around to find out. I guess I'll show this to the county police and see what they think?
What did he yell at you? That would indicate maybe more to this story. Maybe. I would report it as that is reckless behavior at minimum.

+1

My guess... mistaken for traffic incident... or the others didn't get out fast enough to carjack.
