American Authority Window Scoop Installed

So i got em and painted them semi gloss black and love it so far. I was on the highway doing over 80 and no sound or drag if you are worried about that.

So... it's like a air brake?

The mirrors cause the most drag and will slow you down more than anything you will add on

How do you figure that? If they are a scoop that goes nowhere, in other words, open at the front and closed at the back, they are the opposite of aerodynamic and are creating extra drag. No?

[Edited to add]: I'm not saying they don't look cool. They do look cool. I am just not clear on their value. Also, don't they increase the blind spot?

I don't think it will create any practical drag. I mean the scoop will fill up and then the air would just pass over.

Doesn't air act more like a liquid? If it were solid, it would act as you suggest.

Try this: while driving along, at say, 60+, stick your arm out the window and lay it flat against the door. Notice the air flowing along your arm. Now, rotate your hand so that it is palm out facing forward and make it into a cup shape. See how much harder it pushes on your hand? That's what these scoops do.

The air goes in and right out. The faster you go in a car you cause the air in front of you to split and go in opposite directions causing most of the air to push away from the car.

So in theory the scoop will not slow you down. There just for looks

I use the backup camera to see to the side as i get alerts from side and behind and also lane assist in rear view mirrors

When that scoop fills up as the car is moving forward I don't see any flow of air coming out of the scoop.

I like it on SSTony's car. Have to wait to see it on a hyper blue car before deciding.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Has it gotten to the point where we've run out of shit to stick on our cars?!? lol.

An air scoop into the solid window. Perfect. Stick on some of those sick ass fender vents too!!!!!

At least the camaro has enough visibility that it can make do with two additional windows being covered...

(it does look cool btw, but function > form)
