C7Carbon VS. ACS front Splitter

Looking over both of these splitters because they both attach with factory bolts and don't require rivets or two sided tape. Anyone have a preference of one over the other? I have read that the C7 Carbon, looks like carbon fiber but is actually just a wrap?

Cheers!

I just looked at the ACS in Gloss Black, its $628.00!! Thats steep.

The C7 Carbon in Gloss Black is $299.00 and looks exactly the same and uses factory mounting holes.

I went with the C7 ZL1 splitter (gloss Black). Better price and it bolted up in about 10 mins.

The ACS has rivets and holes required for mounting. The C7 sits lower than the ACS Zl1 rep. Acs mounts higher up on the bumper

It is not a wrap. C7 carbon just uses 2 sheets of real carbon fiber wrapped around some other material. Just know the make up of the splitter is not 100% carbon fiber, hence why its seems inexpensive. I would just go with the c7 zl1 splitter in black, given it looks very similar to the ACS and is WAY cheaper. I personally went with anderson composites because I love my carbon fiber.

The C7 is only cheaper if you want the fiberglass option and unpainted ($199.00), its $100 cheaper then you have to have it painted

The ACS isnt fiberglass and comes pre-painted in gloss black for $299.00 and no rivets used for installation.

Street Scene

The best one imo is the Street Scene splitter. The best looking one, thats the most aggressive, and that follows the body lines the best even compared to the OEM one. The ONLY downside is having to drill 4 screws into the bottom of the bumper. It's worth it though

I put the ACS composite ZL1 splitter on my SS, they had done a few trick things with there splitter. Its hollow on the bottom and they spray it with a bed liner type material that makes it really stiff, doesn't lower the ride hight of the car (never scraped it). I have been very pleased.

I have the C7 ZL1 in carbon fiber; very pleased with it and the ease of install. But some of you have the price wrong. I just looked at the C7 website; the 100% carbon fiber is $399.00, with the "high grade composite" version going for $299.00.

For the OP, if you are comparing, you may want to also consider time from when you order to actual delivery. My C7 was promised in 6 weeks and actually took 8 1/2 weeks. Just saying, if you want it quick, that won't happen with C7.

6ledesigns.com charges $160.00 for shipping on their $299 splitter, thats steep if you ask me..

If I have to pay that kind of shipping cost from any company count me out.

You're going to pay that kind of money with pretty much all of them for shipping...

Thanks for the input. The Anderson Composite products look beautiful, but my wallet isn't that thick. I have noted that $160.00 is pretty much standard for shipping, which to me seems high. I know the box would be large and flat, but weight would be minimal. Anyone know if C7 allows product pickup at their shop? You guys are great!'

Thanks
