How to repair discolored leather?

So I used a Mothers leather cleaner and conditioner and the result was ad on the rear seats

Not sure why it did that, but the fronts came out fine.

How do I fix this?

IIRC, the rear seats are actually vinyl, not leather.

I would try meguiars all purpose cleaner diluted according to directions. It's safe on both vinyl and leather. Fact is you can use on almost anything. Spray lightly work with soft brush dab up with a microfiber towels.

I would just clean the vinyl with dawn dish soap and water to hopefully try to remove whatever stained. Then buy an interior cleaner with UV protection (I like Adam's interior)

Hit it with some black magic.....Its the best. It will soak in and gloss the seat as yours look dull, and my rears are vinyl the inserts do bubble/ burn from a cigarette cherry ......

Is it possible you just put too much cleaner in that area? Maybe once it "dries", it will go away.

I've been using leather conditioner on my interiors for years and never had this issue. Strange.

Looks like the seat was coated with a coloring overcoat.

Sometimes those cleaners are very strong and may cause color transfer of the leather (it happened to me with Zaino's cleaner). Your best bet is to use a foaming type of cleaner and or judge the strength of the cleaner by smelling it. You may need to dilute the cleaner with water if its judged to be strong.

Your leather seats may need to be re-dyed by an experienced upholsterer. I believe there are kits that will allow you to do it yourself, but IMO your best bet for a good fix is to go with an experienced interior repair professional.

I use the handy wipe interior cleaner/conditioners for my seats, and Mother's foaming cleaner/conditioner for a complete cleaning once a year. Lexol is an established brand as well, so shop around and find a good, mild cleaning solution for your seats.

Just do the entire seat like that! Viola! You're done!
