Did 70% too, It's very subtle but I have yet to burn my hands on the steering wheel so I think it's working.

buy the better tint with the thermal shield....I went legal here in FL...15% on the back 3, 30% on the doors....then I went the extra step and got 95% on my windshield.

You'll pay damn near double for the best layer of thermal shielding, but here in the sunshine state its the best thing you'll ever do for yourself

i used the DUB IR Ceramic tint. 20% all around and 35% on windshield. I love it and you can see out perfectly!

Texas you can get it tinted as long as it's 90% or better without needing a medical reason. If you go darker you need a Dr to say you need it and I think you can do 70% at that point. I did 70% on the windshield. It's awesome. Can't tell it's there unless you roll another window down and go back and forth. No problems at night.

I so need to get my windows tinted... I'll even put up the sunshade in a parking garage hoping it'll help.

I was quoted $150 for a ceramic tint from XPEL for the front windshield, IIRC.

Down here yall are allowed to cover the top portion of the windshield in addition to all the windows. Ominous looking.

I've tinted the whole windshield on a truck I owned years ago with 35%. It never affected my vision at all and kept it pretty cool.

All though I was living in AZ at the time.

people dont really care when it comes to tint legality. Most people who get tinted are getting illegal levels.

You get what you want, and you deal with the ticket when/if it comes.

Air80 or 3M Crystalline are the only ones I will use these days.

Basically clear but blocks the heat and UV rays like a more traditional darkened tint.

From Texas DPS website:
Sunscreening devices can be applied to the windshield if all of the conditions below are met.

Sunscreening devices must be applied above the AS-1 line. If there is no AS-1 line, sunscreening devices must end five inches below the top of the windshield.
Sunscreening devices may not be red, amber, or blue in color.
Sunscreening devices, when measured in combination with the original glass, must have a light transmittance value of 25% or more.
Sunscreening devices, when measured in combination with the original glass, must have a luminous reflectance value of 25% or less.
A clear (un-tinted) UV film is allowed anywhere on the front windshield without a medical exemption being required
