Is there an easy way to search local inventory for an SS 1LE? So far I've had to go to each local dealer web site and then look at the pictures for the black hood wrap. I've only been able to find one so far.

Check out autotrader.com or cars.com. Go into the advanced search and key in as much info as possible. There should be a place to type additional key words. Type 1LE.

I found that searching Cars.com worked best. Search Camaro hardtop. Filter by 1SS trim with manual transmission, sort by highest price first. The most expensive 1SS hardtops with manual trans will most likely be 1LE package.

For me having a good relationship with your dealer is key. If you don't have a good relationship make one! Walk in ask for the sales manager, explain you want a 1LE and go into details about any rpo' codes you want and color. They can quickly search all nearby and not so near by dealerships. Then if they are really cool they can have it transferred to their dealer for you to close the deal.

I used Cargurus with good success. You can search within 500 miles and then by trim and then package.

Here are the searches I used when searching for my 1LE, I eventually spread the search radius to any distance, flew out and drove 1300 miles back to get it, due to how local dealers were acting.


Just replace [YOUR ZIP CODE HERE] with your zip code, and you may want to tweak the color options if you're looking outside of gray or blue.

Look at the 'MSRP' field for each one as you go down, when you get around 46k or so, you've hit the sweet spot for finding 1LEs.

Believe it or not I used the chat feature on Chevrolet.com. The rep would send me several listings including what was en-route to the dealerships. I could then go and look at the dealership websites. This was back in January when they were less common.

Just looked. Nice colors. Mosaic black was our backup choice.

When I searched all I did was search for "Camaro / V8 / manual transmission", then as said sort by highest price and the 1LE will stand out. They are $46k so they are the highest priced 1SS Camaro when you do search.

I noticed under the filter option on Cargurus, you can select 1LE as an installed option.

There a 4 here at a dealership in Columbus OH. 2 blue, 1 Garnet Red, and 1 in Summit White (the best color). Jeff Wyler Chevrolet. Ask for Jason or Andy.
