I hate that. Anywhere I go, I go out of my way to park away from everybody else. At least half the time there's someone parked next to me when I'm returning to my car. Usually they're parked a little too close. I don't get it, do people enjoy doing this on purpose? It's always a crappy beater too.

Ha
I feel the same way - everybody is out to ding your door on your new Camaro. It is going to happen. Try this to prolong the ding pain. Go to the home store and buy a piece of wooden trim. Hang about 6 feet of the trim from an attached string held under the top part of the shut door. Cut each 6 foot piece of trim in half and use a flexible piece of plastic, cut up milk jug- for example, as a hing to attach them together. Keep folded up in your trunk when not using. Attach a soft wide pad to the back on the trim so it will rest on the door. It might look goofy but who cares. You are not in the car when it is parked. What looks goofy is a big dent in the door of your hot rod when you are trying to pick up a hot chick.

Story of my life! I seek out the end spots away from everyone else where I can hug the curb on one side.
Always return to find a car next to me riding the line. I'm convinced it's intentional.

Amazing, isn't it?? Some people's thought process are simply way jacked up.

I've always parked in bfe...it's just makes life easier. Daily driver has always been 3/4 ton trucks & just gotta laugh when I see ding-dongs trying to park their big ass F250's in a spot meant for a smart car. I do think many of these folks parking next door in the boonies just want to get a raise out of us.

My mom is one of the most intelligent people I know, but she will circle a parking lot for 15-20mins to get a spot close to the entrance. Maddening.

probably to keep their car from getting dinged on the drivers side if you think about it.i have the same experience, usually its not a beater but a decent looking car.

The only time I wouldn't get pissed for this is if it were another expensive/sports car. My train of thought would be, neither one of us is going to ding the others car, so I'd rather have a fellow car enthusiast next to me than a beat up junker that doesn't give a shit about anyone else's baby. Shit, even when I'm in my junker, I make it a point to be careful no matter who is next to me. Common courtesy I guess.

You're in El Paso and in the shade... pretty obvious why they parked by you.

I try to get an end spot and hug the curb as well. Or an end where I can cheat into the cross hatched area just a bit.
