Black fire Crystal Seal durability

Hi guys, I installed black fire crystal seal two weeks ago and just gave my car it’s first wash after application. I scrubbed not particularly hard with regular soap that is supposed to be safe for sealants and it looks like it stripped the water resistant properties away? Does this look normal?

Driy it off and look at the gloss, it's there.. Some sealants like Crystal seal do not bead, they can sheet. However this does look like it this is stripped a lot off.

How many coats of Crystal seal?

What exact soap was this?

And how was the surface prepped before you put on the Crystal seal?

Many of the soaps at these Pay & Spray places like the one you are using contain very harsh cleaners that will strip sealants and waxes.

If you want to maximize the durability of your sealant, I recommend either a foam/2 bucket wash, or Glen's rinseless procedure using a PH balanced shampoo or rinseless solution.

If your car is garaged and doesn't get very dirty and isn't driven in the rain, go with the rinseless.

If it's not garaged, go with foam/2 bucket method.

Garaged it should last around 4 months. Not garaged around 2 months.

Prepping the surface before applying any type of protection is key to it's longevity as well.

I hope you didn't use the brush at the Pay & Spray on your paint.

Don't think "scrub" when cleaning your car regardless of method used, Think gently wipe, just like you would a baby's bottom when changing a diaper.

Scrubbing creates scratches and swirls.
