Powdercoated exhaust tips

Has Anyone powdercoated there exhaust tips I bought a zl1 exhaust and I'm thinking about getting the tips powdercoated black

They have a paint that is more durable than powdercoat now, looks just like it. That's what I was told by the major powdercoater here in ft laud.

I've done it several times with no issues. Don't do matte black though, do a satin black. When temps are high, matte black looks chalky. Satin looks much better. Also...don't let people tell you that you need to use ceramic coating. Ceramic coating is for higher temp areas, but most powder coat is good for up to 400 degrees and your tips will never see those temps.

Thanks for the info. I too am considering powder coating my MagnaFlow 19266 before installation. I'm going to get pricing tomorrow so I'll make sure I tell them satin no ceramic if they ask.
