Wow its so thin

I just got my 17 ZL1 two days ago. Hand washed it for the first time today. Wow the sheet metal is so thin. They say you get to know a car during a hand wash. You find all the imperfections. Anyone else notice this thin skin?

Yes, I leaned on my top back fender and bent the top...oops. Don't care. I just don't look at it. You can barely see it only in one exact direction and light. If I am directly above it looking down, can't see it

Just another part of trying to minimize the cars overall weight. Every tenth of an ounce helps.

These are NOT the old days when you could sit on the hood.

I noticed the roof flexes a ton when washing it and I small dent in the left quarter panel. I remember resting my hand on it when I took this picture. I'm sure I caused it. The car is made out of aluminum foil.

Yeah, that's where I notice it the most, the roof. I've flexed it while hand washing it as well.

To be fair, my last 5 cars have been that way when washing.

My last two had carbon fiber roofs, so not so much. It's no biggie, I'm just a little more careful now.
