How likely is 15 - 20 percent gm cash back incentive off this year for a 2017 camaro 2ss. I just test drove and it's decided that I love it. Just need a good price that I can afford. Decided that the optioned model I want is about 47,780 What can I expect to pay this year. Anytime in the next 6 months is a good time for me to buy. I can wait for the 2018s to release or I can wait for black Friday deals. I cannot justify paying over 40,000. Especially since last year many people bought said car for under 35,000. My goal is 37,500. So I need about 10,000 off a 2ss with the magnetic ride black wheels and dual exuast. How likely is it I can get that deal on either a 2017 or even 2018 by the end of the year. Just want a good deal. I'm happy with paying a few thousand more than others have but I don't want to pay 7,000 more than others did, because I am willing to wait to get that deal even if that means it will be snowy winter time when I buy the new car.

Good luck and a few bought it with the 15-20% off.. location is everything and not everyone got the best deal.
A lot of us with the 16 model got a few k off but we got all the option, color we wanted. |

Right now is probably not a good time to buy if you want a really good deal. Since these are considered summer-time cars, the best deal you're gonna find on these will be during winter when they aren't selling as well. If you find the one you like that has the options you want, buy it (for the right price). I found mine with all the options I wanted, so I bought it. I walked out the first time because they wouldn't go low enough. A week later I was there negotiating for five hours before we came to an agreement. I would expect a $47,780 2017 to be around 40-41 depending on dealership and location. I live in the bay area and I got mine down to 40 (MSRP 46.5)

I got about $5k off mine ($48.5k sticker, $43.5k with $1k incentive, wasn't eligible for any others) - maybe not as good as some others say they got, but I got EXACTLY the car I wanted, and I'm happy! If you don't care what options or color you end up with, wait and see. Otherwise, find as good of a deal as you can on one you'll be happy with, pull the trigger and don't look back!

Agreed that location is everything. Incentives are based on the zip code where the car will be registered, so going out of state to get an incentive isn't going to work. I've been discouraged reading these forums and hearing about folks getting discounts in the thousands. It's just not happening in CT.
I'm looking to buy a 1SS 1LE and have been to half a dozen dealerships in the state. I've discussed price for cars on the lot and ordering, and after almost 6 months, the best I've been offered is $1500 discount from MSRP. I'm close to just biting the bullet and ordering the car with the $1500 discount, and hope to get lucky with a GM incentive coming when the car is delivered. Certainly not counting on that though.

Good luck. I was set on a 2SS, and was determined not to pay over 40k. Nope. Not a one to be found under 42k. I had to go down to a 1SS and was able to get it with NPP and black wheels for just under 40k all in.

I got mine for about 9,000 off sticker. If you are in or around NC pm me and I will give you the name of the dealer. They are a high volume Camaro and Corvette dealer and routinely sell in the 15-20% off range.

Barely got anything off mine, but I found one exactly like I wanted, and didn't want to buy in the fall/winter and make payments while it sat in the garage.
If you can afford it, get it, and enjoy it while you can. |

I live in Minnesota we're it seems to be cold all the time. Got a 2016 2ss in the beginning of February for 16k off msrp. When the opportunity came I just pulled the trigger. Location is everything I think. If you live in a mild climate all year you will never see deals like that

From one yinzer to another, I felt your pain. Look down in the Baltimore and DC area for a car. When I was looking around the western PA area nobody would deal. Most places down in Maryland and Virginia start bargaining below msrp. I got mine from Jerry's in Leesburg, VA.

I picked up my 1LE for $39.5+ttl. I live in the Bay Area in California and had to drive about 5 hours south to get it. This was in April.
